แบบประเมินองค์ประกอบการควบคุมภายใน เป็นเครื่องมือสำหรับการบริหารการควบคุมภายในและการประเมินผลการควบคุมภายในเพื่อช่วยให้ผู้บริหารและผู้ประเมินพิจารณาตัดสินได้ว่า ระบบการควบคุมภายในของหน่วยรับตรวจได้รับการออกแบบอย่างเหมาะสมและเพียงพอหรือไม่ ควรปรับปรุงแก้ไขในจุดใด อย่างไร

แบบประเมินฯ นี้แยกเป็น 5 องค์ประกอบของการควบคุมภายในในแต่ละองค์ประกอบ ประกอบ ด้วยข้อความภายใต้หัวข้อหลักๆ และหัวข้อย่อยที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับหัวข้อหลักผู้ใช้หรือผู้ประเมินอาจปรับปรุงแก้ไขเพิ่มเติมข้อความตามความเหมาะสมช่องว่างใต้หัวข้อ “ความเห็น/คำอธิบาย”ใช้สำหรับจดบันทึกข้อคิดเห็นหรือคำอธิบายในหัวข้อนั้นๆ

ในการพิจารณาให้ข้อสรุปผลการประเมินแต่ละองค์ประกอบของการควบคุมภายในผู้ประเมินควรใช้วิจารณญาณว่า

1. ข้อความใต้ข้อต่างๆในแบบประเมิน เหมาะสมที่จะนำไปประยุกต์ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ต่างๆ ในองค์กรหรือไม่ถ้าไม่เหมาะสม ควรปรับปรุงแก้ไขเนื้อหาแบบประเมิน ในหัวข้อย่อยนั้นๆ ก่อน

2. หน่วยที่ได้รับการประเมินมีการปฏิบัติตามที่ระบุหรือไม่ อย่างไร

3. การปฏิบัติจริงมีจุดอ่อนของการควบคุมภายในหรือไม่ อย่างไร

4. การปฏิบัติจริงมีผลกระทบต่อการบรรลุวัตถุประสงค์หรือไม่ อย่างไร

The greatest strength of the German economy is its broad industrial base, and the close cooperation between large firms and highly-specialised mid-sized companies, said the study which was compiled by the Swiss Prognos Institute and the consultancy Management Engineers.

Dmitry Medvedev ends cult of beer in Russia

On Wednesday, President Dmitry Medvedev signed the law which puts beer in the category of spirits and introduces large-scale restrictions on its retail sales, as well as greatly expands the list of places where its consumption is not allowed. This is the result of nearly 20 years of very successful programs to sell and promote beer as the main alcoholic drink in Russia.

Under the new law that enters into force in 2013, the beer is equivalent to alcohol. Its sales will be banned in the stores from 11pm to 8am, and small retail locations (kiosks, tents) will be subject to the ban on selling beer.

In addition, the list of places where beer consumption is prohibited will be expanded. Currently these areas include parks, gardens, playgrounds, sports facilities, places of public festivals and public transportation. The law accepted on Wednesday added to them yards and porches.

Also, the law bans production and circulation of alcoholic beverages containing ethyl alcohol of less than 7 percent in the consumer packaging of more than 330 milliliters. Additional restrictions are imposed on advertising of alcoholic beverages, including beer and other drinks that had previously belonged to the low- alcohol category.

Chinese hurl 'Nazi' epithets at German Expo pavilion in Shanghai

The Chinese visitors at the world fair have repeatedly tried to muscle their way into Germany’s €50-million exhibition structure after hours of standing in line, causing the Germans to send a letter of protest to expo organisers demanding additional security, daily Süddeutsche Zeitung reported on Tuesday.

“I have personally observed workers at our pavilion suffer unbearable behaviour from the visitors, including shocking insults and physical attacks,” general commissioner for the German pavilion Dietmar Schmitz wrote on May 2.

He has not received an answer from the Chinese, he told the paper.

The skirmishes reportedly began on one of the first days of the expo, which runs from May 1 to October 31. On that day a long line of people, including some in wheelchairs, became enraged with delays and began tearing flowers out of the ground and throwing them at the pavilion.

Some shouted "na cui, na cui," which the paper said was Chinese for “Nazi, Nazi,” Schmitz confirmed.

“I don’t think the Chinese even know what they shouting,” Schmitz he told the paper.

Workers at the German site have called Chinese emergency services on several occasions to break up fights and control the crowd, press spokeswoman Marion Conrady told the paper, adding that for several days more security forces have been patrolling the area.

Such skirmishes have also occurred at the English and Swiss pavilions, the paper said.

In the meantime, the German pavilion instituted a new ticket system for those in wheelchairs to bypass long lines.

The theme of the exposition is “Better City – Better Life,” and is the most expensive in world fair history. More than 190 countries are taking part.

Germany’s pavilion is called “Balancity,” which is meant to signify a city in balance with “renewal and preservation, innovation and tradition, urbanity and nature, community and individual development and work and leisure” through thematic urban spaces.

London, England (CNN) -- German authorities have acted against what Berlin views as destabilizing speculation in the financial markets by implementing a partial ban on naked short-selling of certain stocks. Here is a guide to the practice and what the ban means.
Q) What is short selling?
A) Short sellers are institutions or people who bet on the price of an asset going down. What they do is borrow the share or bond or whatever it is, sell it for the current price, and then buy it back again once the price has dropped. Then they hand it back to whomever it was they borrowed it from and then pocket the difference.
Q) Slow down. How does that work again?
A) Let's say you think shares in Widget Enterprises are overvalued. They're currently changing hands for 120 euros, but you're convinced they're going to dive. So you find someone who's holding the shares, borrow them off them, then sell them to somebody else for 120 euros. Now you wait till the price drops to, say, 110 euros, and buy them back again at that price. Hand them back to the person you borrowed them from and -- Hey presto! You've made 10 euros per share.
Q) So what is naked short selling?
A) Not as shocking as it sounds -- no clothes will be removed. Same idea, really: it's betting on a fall in the price of the assets. But instead of borrowing from somebody else, the short sellers actually sell shares they don't own or hold, trusting that they will then very soon be able to buy them at a reduced price and "cover" themselves that way. If the market snaps back, they then lose money, though, and we've seen this happen as recently as this month.
Q) So why have the Germans introduced this ban?
A) Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel aims to declare war on the financial market speculators who she believes are putting the euro's future in doubt by driving down the value of European assets. So she's instructed the German financial regulator BaFin to impose the ban, and from midnight German time on Tuesday evening, there has been no naked short selling of euro denominated government bonds, the credit default swaps ("CDS") associated with them and shares in Germany top ten financial institutions.
It's hard not to see a bit of politics here: EU financial support for Greece and other debt-ridden eurozone nations is about as popular in Germany as a beer mug with a hole in the bottom, and Merkel has had to defend the recent EU support plan to legislators in the Bundestag -- not an easy gig.
Q) Does it apply anywhere else -- like London, for example?
A) No. But there's a mystery here. The German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble says the German financial regulator BaFin is going to go first, and others will follow, as agreed at Tuesday's meeting of EU finance ministers in Brussels. Trouble is, the other ministers must have dozed off at that point, because none of them seems to remember saying that. So Berlin is going it alone, and that's an unusual, if not doubtful strategy.
Q) Has this happened before?
A) Yes. Similar bans were introduced late in 2008 at the depths of the financial crisis when Lehman Brothers was going to the wall and financial markets were in a selling frenzy. That's another reason for skepticism about Germany's renewed ban: it smacks of the kind of panic that gripped the world then, and sends a very negative signal.
Q) Is it likely to work?

A) In the immediate short term, a ban on naked short selling will obviously limit the volatility. But overall we're seeing a very negative reaction on the market, with the euro coming under pressure on the foreign exchanges, which are unregulated and therefore the ideal place for investors to vent their spleen. That tells you a lot. The idea that any marketplace is open to sudden government intervention is quite damaging, and will limit investors' willingness to put their precious money into it. How would you feel about joining in a game of football if you knew the referee was liable to change the rules at a moment's notice.

Bangkok, Thailand (CNN) -- Former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra said Wednesday he was not the leader of the United Front for Democracy, the formal name of the Red Shirt opposition, and that their movement calling for new elections is not on his behalf.
"They did not demand anything for me or on my behalf. I am not UDD leader," he said. " Any negotiation to end the demonstration or conflict must be made between the government and UDD leaders. I have no authority to negotiate on behalf of the UDD."
The anti-government protesters support Thaksin, who was ousted in a 2006 bloodless military coup and who fled the country to avoid a corruption trial.
In a statement, Thaksin accused the Thai government of defaming him when it said he was the mastermind behind the violence in the country's ongoing political crisis.

UNDERSTANDING MUTUAL FUND Mutual fund is a trust that pools money from a group of investors (sharing common financial goals) and invest the money thus collected into asset classes that match the stated investment objectives of the scheme. Since the stated investment objectives of a mutual fund scheme generally form the basis for an investor's decision to contribute money to the pool, a mutual fund can not deviate from its stated objectives at any point of time.
Every Mutual Fund is managed by a fund manager, who using his investment management skills and necessary research works ensures much better return than what an investor can manage on his own. The capital appreciation and other incomes earned from these investments are passed on to the investors (also known as unit holders) in proportion of the number of units they own.

An open-ended fund operated by an investment company which raises money from shareholders and invests in a group of assets, in accordance with a stated set of objectives. mutual funds raise money by selling shares of the fund to the public, much like any other type of company can sell stock in itself to the public. Benefits of mutual funds include diversification and professional money management. Mutual funds offer choice, liquidity, and convenience, but charge fees and often require a minimum investment. A closed-end fund is often incorrectly referred to as a mutual fund, but is actually an investment trust. There are many types of mutual funds, including aggressive growth fund, asset allocation fund, balanced fund, blend fund, bond fund, capital appreciation fund, clone fund, closed fund, crossover fund, equity fund, fund of funds, global fund, growth fund, growth and income fund, hedge fund, income fund, index fund, international fund, money market fund, municipal bond fund, prime rate fund, regional fund, sector fund, specialty fund, stock fund, and tax-free bond fund.

Angry Schwab bond-fund customers win in court

Charles Schwab lost a big court decision last week in a case that has significance for investors in mutual funds. A federal judge ruled that Schwab violated the law when its YieldPlus (SWYSX) ultra-short bond fund failed to get shareholder approval before loading up on mortgage-backed securities. When the market for those securities collapsed, the fund lost 36% — a nasty surprise for investors who believed that YieldPlus was a safe alternative to cash. Left to decide is the amount of damages the investors should receive; lawyers say California investors alone lost about $170 million, the rest about $800 million.
I myself looked into YieldPlus while reporting a recent story for MONEY about Charles Schwab. Most observers I talked to believed that the fund's losses represented an isolated mistake — a big, bad mistake to be sure — rather than evidence of a corrupted corporate culture. But the YieldPlus debacle did strike me as a particularly problematic episode for Schwab, which built a wildly successful discount brokerage based on the philosophy of not telling its investors what to buy. As the company delves deeper into helping its customers design their portfolios and invest smartly for retirement, it becomes ever more challenging for Schwab to provide advice that’s free of conflict. Once a firm creates its own mutual funds, such as YieldPlus, an obvious question is raised about the incentives employees have to sell those funds instead of others.

i had learn about fund today at SET ...look like someone said big profit of some that invest in index fund vary....because only 2 or 3 years in thai stake trade ...it run from 400-500 up to 800 about index today....splendid???...but i were bring that really star in trade must be base bond of grassroot project highlight...but very strange that the investor always invest about business that cut profit from interest and loan benefit from grassroot... communicate and energy some only the business under government long contract support or subsidize ....hard sale of real local creative bond or infrastructure bond for grassroot is not stunning investors like the owner cash business...maybe it is tough to persuade investors around this world to invest in poverty survival project...right now???or the real reason is the big public companies in trade fund market full with billionair that earn from grassroot workers and labor fields...Never enough from profit from differential of income between wealthy and poverty...forever...Both are hunger!!!!!Billionaiar need more and more profit...some developed countries cannot control ...full of those representative inside parliament to watch up how to share or coordinate benefit together inside government policy that support only big public company in trade world...left poverty in dump of mud ...no breath???

(CNN) -- President Obama embarked Thursday on his first presidential visit to Asia, an eight-day journey that will take him to five cities in four countries.

Throughout the trip to Japan, Singapore, China and South Korea, Obama will emphasize the importance of Asian nations as vital U.S. partners on major issues such as economic growth, nuclear nonproliferation, the war in Afghanistan and climate change, three officials said in a briefing this week.

The presidential itinerary includes formal talks with Asian leaders as a group and individually, a bilateral meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, and the first participation by a U.S. president in a summit of the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations economic alliance.

The itinerary also reflects Obama's personal ties to Asia, where he spent part of his childhood. He will have a bilateral meeting with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of Indonesia, where Obama lived from 1967 to 1971.

As the first U.S. president with "an Asia-Pacific orientation," Obama "understands that the future of our prosperity and our security is very much tied to this part of the world," said Ben Rhodes, deputy national security adviser for strategic communications.

Shortly after the legendary pop entertainer was pronounced dead in Los Angeles, von Hagens released a statement revealing his personal assistant had been contacted by an anonymous member of Jackson’s management team about plastination some six months ago.

“During the phone conversation we were told about Michael Jackson’s interest to become plastinated after his death,” the statement said, adding Body Worlds did not confirm the King of Pop’s interest because the caller wished to remain anonymous and the body donation form is available online.

The validity of the call “is soon to be seen,” the statement added.

On Monday, Institute for Plastination press spokesperson Christiane Casott told The Local the organisation is still awaiting confirmation the King of Pop wanted to become plastic.

Von Hagens promised the late 50-year-old’s family that his body would be preserved through plastination for “a didactic eternity,” and would be conducted free of charge.

“The pose would be a dancing one, to be determined by the family in detail,” he added.

The provocative 64-year-old, known as “Dr. Death” in Germany, is infamous for transforming the bodies of people and animals into exhibition pieces for his Body Worlds exhibitions. He recently caused a stir this May in Berlin where his show, “The Cycle of Life" featured dissected corpses having sex.

Germany needs more ethnic minorities in its political system, the police and its courts, and has to do more to tackle racism in daily life, a UN special rapporteur said on Wednesday.

"My visit has convinced me that much remains to be done," Githu Muigai, UN special rapporteur for racism, said after a 10-day fact-finding trip across the country.

People with a migrant background "are under-represented in important institutions, including the political system, the police and the courts," Muigai said.

Last November, the Greens became the first major party to elect a Turkish-German as leader, Cem Ozdemir, but ethnic minorities are generally a rarity in German politics, making up fewer than 15 national MPs.

Muigai, who was paying a routine visit to Germany, also said that due to the historical experience of Germany with Nazism, there is a "tendency to equate racism with extremist politics."

"I think that this great country needs to turn its attention to the problems of daily racism and discrimination, that is the racism and discrimination to be found in daily life in schools, public places, in housing, in employment etcetera," he said.

He added however that he was "encouraged by the open recognition by authorities that Germany is nowadays a country of migrants and that migrants make a positive contribution to society."

Kenyan-born Muigai, special rapporteur since August, also said that far-right groups in Germany "demand constant vigilance" and should be banned "within the constitutional legal mechanism provided by German law."

There are regular calls for a ban on Germany's biggest far-right party, the NPD, which has no seats in the Bundestag national parliament but has representatives in two of Germany's powerful regional assemblies.

The previous centre-left government had sought to ban it, but the case was thrown out in 2003 by the Constitutional Court.

Germany also needs to do more to speed up the processing of asylum-seekers, Muigai said.

Muigai said that his full report, due to be presented at the Human Rights Council in 2010, will also focus on the plight of Muslims in Germany following the increase in security measures aimed at tackling Islamic extremism.

"The Muslim community does have very special concerns, particularly in the aftermath of 9/11 and in the manner in which the security apparatus have responded to ... the challenge of the fight against terrorism," he said.

A government study published in June found that Germany had between 3.8 and 4.3 million Muslims - between 4.6 and 5.2 percent of the population – much higher than the previous estimates of 3.1-3.4 million.

North Korea's announcement of a second nuclear test and Myanmar's trial of pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi seized the attention of foreign ministers from Asia and Europe meeting Monday in Hanoi.

The government ministers and other high-ranking officials said the nuclear test, as well as North Korea's test of a ground-to-air missile, posed a threat to regional and global security.

"The Japanese government cannot condone another nuclear test by North Korea," said Kazuo Kodama, a spokesman for Japan's foreign ministry. "The test is a flagrant violation of existing United Nations security council resolutions, and the government of Japan strongly protests."

Kodama spoke shortly before the start of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), which has drawn representatives of 45 nations _ including at least 30 foreign ministers from the European Union, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, China, Japan, and South Korea.

The ministers were slated to seek solutions to the economic slowdown and ways to enhance economic cooperation. Also on the agenda were climate change and communicable diseases such as swine flu.

But events were likely to overtake the agenda.

North Korea announced Monday that it successfully carried out a second underground nuclear test, following one in 2006, a move that will deepen international concern over the reclusive regime's weapons programs.

It came less than two months after Pyongyang launched a rocket widely believed to be a test of its long-range missile technology.

Ministers in Hanoi are also expected to broach the controversy over Myanmar's treatment of Suu Kyi, whose trial in Yangon resumed Monday.

The ruling military junta has accused her of violating the conditions of her house arrest by allowing an American intruder to stay at her home without official permission. She faces up to five years in prison.

Critics have accused the junta of seeking to use the incident as a pretext to keep Suu Kyi in detention through elections scheduled for next year, the culmination of the junta's "roadmap to democracy," which has been criticized as a fig leaf for continued military rule.

In Brussels last week, EU foreign ministers discussed increasing sanctions against Myanmar's junta to pressure it to restore democracy in the Southeast Asian country, but failed to agree on new measures. Instead they signaled they would urge countries with close ties to Myanmar such as China, India and Thailand to exert influence over it to change its ways.

European and Asian governments have rarely seen eye-to-eye on how to deal with Myanmar's junta, which refused to accept a 1990 election victory by Suu Kyi's party.

"We are deeply disturbed by the arrest and trial of Aung San Suu Kyi," said Bill Rammel, Britain's minister of state for foreign and commonwealth affairs. "I think it indicates that the Burmese regime is looking for any pretext to further her detention."

Rammel, referring to Myanmar by its former name, made his comments to reporters Monday morning, shortly before the ASEM was scheduled to formally open.

"We are calling very firmly for Aung San Suu Kyi's release, and indeed the release of all political prisoners."

Myanmar Foreign Minister Nyan Win is due to attend the Hanoi meeting and is scheduled to hold talks with EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner.

ASEAN members generally refrain from criticizing each other's domestic policies, but last week ASEAN issued a statement expressing concern about Suu Kyi's trial.

Suu Kyi's current term of house arrest was to have ended May 27. The Nobel Peace Prize laureate has been in detention without trial for more than 13 of the past 19 years.

Longstay Tourism in Thailand

In accordance with a government policy to promote the tourism industry as a means to direct foreign currency into the country and consequently to improve the economic status, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has created several programmes and activities to promote Thailand as a major travel destination and to expand the current markets to cover the niche segment.

Due to these ongoing promotions by TAT, the numbers of tourists coming into Thailand have increased every year. However, when taking into consideration the average length of stay in Thailand for the past five years, there has been a decrease of approximately 1.43% per year. Therefore, TAT has realized that it should expand its markets to include those tourists who spend a long period of time in the country. These kinds of tourists will consequently spend more money during their stay in Thailand. Not only for directing more income into the country, the promotion to this market will also strengthen the country's economic status as well as expand the production and service sectors relating to this industry.

Therefore, TAT has promoted and developed Longstay Tourism in Thailand by proposing the issues facilitating the arrival procedures for aged tourists (55 years and above) to the Cabinet.

On 7 and 14 July, 1998, the Cabinet approved the proposal in principle and approved its details to be in practice on 8 September, 1998.

Later, on 26 June, 2001, the Cabinet approved the proposal by the Minister to the Prime Minister's Office (Mr.Somsak Thepsutin) to promote Longstay Tourism and to set up a National Committee to support this programme. The Minister to the Prime Minister's Office will be the Chairman of the Committee while other government authorities will support the programme.

เมื่อกล่าวถึง ความหมายโครงการท่องเที่ยวแบบพำนักระยะยาว (Long Stay) นั้น ฝ่ายต่างๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับโครงการนี้ต่างก็มีความคิดเห็น และให้คำจำกัดความของโครงการ Long Stay แตกต่างกันไป

การท่องเที่ยวพำนักระยะยาว ( Long Stay ) ว่า การท่องเที่ยวพำนักระยะยาว คือ การส่งเสริมให้ประเทศไทยเป็นจุดหมายปลายทางให้นักท่องเที่ยวมาอาศัยอยู่เป็น เวลานาน ซึ่งหมายถึง ระยะเวลาตั้งแต่ 2 สัปดาห์ จนถึง 2-3 เดือน หรือ 2-3 ปี โดยทั่วไปแล้วการท่องเที่ยวประเภทนี้จะมีความหมายโดยนัยว่า เป็นการท่องเที่ยวสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวผู้เกษียณอายุ หรือผู้ที่มีฐานะดี

ตาม ความหมายนี้เองธุรกิจการท่องเที่ยวพำนักระยะยาวจะดูเหมือนอุตสาหกรรมการท่อง เที่ยวโดยทั่วไป แต่ที่แตกต่างคือ การท่องเที่ยวพำนักระยะยาวนี้จะต้องมีการพัฒนาสิ่งเหล่านี้เพิ่มขึ้น

	-	การจัดเตรียมที่พักอาศัยที่ได้มาตรฐานสากล และมีราคาไม่แพงมากจนเกินไป
	-	การจัดเตรียมที่พักอาศัยที่เพียบพร้อมไปด้วยเครื่องอำนวยความสะดวกที่เหมาะสมกับผู้สูงอายุที่พำนักระยะยาว
	-	การจัดเตรียมและการรวบรวมเครื่องอำนวยความสะดวกด้านการดูแลสุขภาพ
	-	กิจกรรมต่างๆ ที่ไม่เพียงแค่เพื่อการพักผ่อน และการสร้างสรรค์สิ่งใหม่ๆ แต่เพื่อจิตใจ ร่างกาย และจิตวิญญาณด้วย
	-	สนับสนุนการพำนักระยะยาวในเรื่อง การคมนาคม,ภาษา,การสื่อสาร,วีซ่า,การธนาคาร,การซื้อของ และการพัฒนาตนเอง เป็นต้น

สำหรับ ความหมายจาก Long Stay Foundation ของประเทศญี่ปุ่นนั้นให้ความหมายว่า การท่องเที่ยวพำนักระยะยาว (Long Stay) หมายถึง การพักผ่อนระยะเวลานานในต่างประเทศ ซึ่งไม่ใช่การอพยพย้ายถิ่น หรือไปมีถิ่นฐานที่ถาวรในต่างประเทศลักษณะโดยทั่วไปของ Long Stay คือ

ต้องอาศัยอยู่เป็นระยะเวลานาน คือ จะอยู่นานกว่าการอยู่ในต่างประเทศโดยทั่วไป แต่ต้องกลับมายังประเทศญี่ปุ่น

Fishing rods can come in the form of a simple pole, a spin-cast rod, a spinning rod, a bait-casting rod, or a fly rod, depending upon the type of fishing you do. The type of fishing outfit you select, including the rod, reel, and accessories, is commonly known as fishing tackle.

Some fishing rods are short and flexible, while other rods are long and heavy. When it comes to fishing, your rod may be the most important piece of fishing tackle. But with the wide variety of fishing rods available, choosing the right rod can be perplexing.

Most rods are made from fiberglass, graphite, or a combination of the two. Rods can be fast-taper, which means they are stiff near the tip; medium taper, which means they flex about halfway down the rod; or slow-taper, which means they are flexible all the way down the rod. Fast-taper rods are better for bass and saltwater fishing, or for any type of fishing in which you need to set a hook hard and fight the fish. Slow-taper rods are good for ultralight fishing, while a medium rod tries to combine the best attributes of both.

Rods come in a variety of lengths, but most are from five to seven feet long. Shorter rods are good for confined areas, while longer rods are good if you need to throw bait a long distance or fight a fish. Rods can come in one or two pieces, depending upon the need to break them down for easy transport.

If you don't know exactly what kind of fishing you are going to do — or if you enjoy different types of fishing — then spinning tackle may be your best choice because it is the most versatile fishing tackle available. Spinning tackle can be defined by its reel, which has a fixed spool that doesn't revolve during the cast or retrieve. Instead, the line is retrieved by a mechanism that revolves around the spool as you turn the crank.

Baitcasting tackle is another form of fishing outfit. Sometimes called plug casting, the baitcasting system uses small revolving-spool reels, many of which use levelwind mechanisms. Baitcasting tackle is very popular among bass fisherman, as well as with many other types of freshwater and saltwater fishing.

Anglers who tie flies uses flyfishing tackle. Many fishermen steer clear of fly fishing because they think it is the most demanding type of fishing. In reality, with a bit of practice, it is as easy to learn as spinning. When selecting flyfishing tackle, a most important considerations is the balance between the rod action and line weight.

Big game tackle is specialized tackle designed for fishing a line of a particular size. Used for offshore game fishing, big game tackle is the most common type of tackle used by tournament anglers. Most big game rods are fitted with a set of roller guides and a roller top.

Boat tackle is a term used to describe fishing outfits designed for still fishing and trolling in saltwater and large lakes. While big game tackle and boat tackle can be one and the same, more often than not boat tackle comprises a wider category of gear that can be used in many fishing situations, from surface trolling to bottom fishing.

Surf tackle is a variety of stout, long-distance casting equipment. The equipment is designed to get your lures or sinkers over the breakers in order to reach faraway schools of fish. Most surf rods have stout tips and long butts, and overall lengths range from 8 feet to longer than 14 feet.

Floats, which are attached to your line, indicate whether or not a fish is taking to your bait, and also carry your bait if you are fishing in a water with current. Swivels are used to keep your line from twisting. The type of tackle you use will depend upon the type of fishing you do. For instance, tackle for a spinning rod will differ from that of a fly rod. Tackle on a surf fishing outfit will be different than tackle on big game gear.

What is Earthshine

This is a smoky glow on the dark portion of the crescent Moon. It is caused by sunlight that reflects off the Earth onto the Moon's night side. Under the earthshine, the Moon's outline and its dark features can be seen, even though only a thin crescent is bright. We see the Moon because of reflected sunlight (the Moon does not generate its own light). At times, however, the dark part of the Moon glows.

Just after the new moon, the first crescent moon produces what we refer to as the "old moon" in the new moon's arms. This occurs a few days after the new moon just after sunset. The same things happens to the old cresent moon in early morning.
Earthshine - A Double Reflection of Sunlight.
Light from the Sun is reflected off of the Earth (See Point A) onto the Moon (See Point B). Some of this light is then reflected off of the Moon back towards the Earth (See Point C). Because of this we see part of the Moon illuminated by the Sun and the rest of the Moon dimly illuminated by this doubly reflected light (which we call earthshine). Each time light reflects off a surface (like a planet), it gets dimmer because some of the light is absorbed by the reflecting surface. This means that earthshine is dimmer than moonlight because earthshine is sunlight that has been reflected twice and moonlight is sunlight that has been reflected only once (off the surface of the moon). In addition, the reflectivity of the moon (its "albedo") is less than that of the Earth, which makes earthshine even dimmer. Earthshine example

The light of the sun not only reflects off the face of the moon,
it also reflects off the Earth's surface. The reflected sunlight
is referred to as earthshine.

During a crescent moon, only a sliver of sunlight is reflected to Earth
(Part 1 in this animation). But when the Moon is a crescent, the rest of
it is illuminated by sunlight reflecting off the Earth, hitting the night
side of the Moon, and bouncing back to Earth (Part 2). In fact, if you
were on the Moon when it was a crescent, you'd see a full Earth.

The moonlight of a full moon is so bright that even if it were positioned correctly to reflect light back toward Earth, it would completely overpower earthshine. In fact, we only see earthshine during the crescent phases of the Moon because during these phases only a small part of the Moon is lit up, and moonlight doesn't outshine earthshine, and the moon is in the right position to reflect light back to the Earth.
